Media coverage on AFI Fest's "Doubt" premiere

When asked on the film's Oscar buzz, Meryl said, "It's very exciting when that happens, because there are so many movies now." She told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of the movie, "there are so many great movies. So it's great when something propels you in front of the audience in that way." Doubt sees Meryl plays a nun who confronts a priest, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman, after she suspects him of sexually abusing a new student. "He's a dream to work with as an actor," Meryl said about filming with Phillip. "Everybody who's ever worked with him loves him and tries to do it again including me. I just adore him and I'm in awe on him." The star also confessed she found it interesting wearing a nun's habit for the film. "It was an interesting thing to be in a community where everybody wears the same clothing so you're all part of a group," she said.
